Enrique Ortí Group Leader Enrique Ortí is full professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Valencia and leads the Theoretical Chemistry Research Unit at the Institute of Molecular Science (ICMol), which has been distinguished two times with the accreditation as a Unit of Excellence “Maria de Maeztu”. His main interests concern the theoretical characterization and design of functional electroactive/photoactive molecular materials of special relevance in the field of Molecular Electronics. He has collaborated with many Spanish and international research groups involved in the synthesis and characterization of molecular materials and in the development of molecular-based optoelectronic devices. He has published over 325 papers. In 2014 he was distinguished with the Award to the Research Excellence of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ). Henk J. Bolink Group Leader Henk J. Bolink is Full Professor at the University of Valencia and PI of the ERC Advanced Grant project HELD. Henk obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science at the University of Groningen in 1997. After that he worked at DSM as a materials scientist and project manager. In 2001 he joined Philips, to lead the materials development activity of Philips’s PolyLED project. Since 2003 he is at the Instituto de Ciencia Molecular (ICMol) of the University of Valencia. He is the head of the Molecular Opto-Electronic Devices group supervising approximately 10 Ph.D. students and several post-docs. His current research interests encompass: inorganic/organic hybrid materials such as transition metal complexes and perovskites and their integration in LEDs and solar cells. Mª Ángeles Hernández-Fenollosa Group leader Mª Ángeles Hernández-Fenollosa is Associated Professor at the Applied Physics department of the Universitat Politècnica de València and member of the Institute of Materials Technology. She has a large expertise in the preparation of metal oxide films, the characterization of their electrical and optical properties and their application as semiconductor materials for the manufacture of photovoltaic devices. Her interest mainly focuses on the elaboration, characterization and improvement of integrated nanostructured thin films in hybrid photovoltaic structures. Pedro M. Viruela Martín Full Professor Pedro M. Viruela was born is Full professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Valencia. His research activity concerns the theoretical characterization of electroactive molecular systems by means of quantum-chemical calculations. Michele Sessolo Ramón y Cajal Fellow Michele earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Padova (Italy). He later moved to the University of Valencia where he earned a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Materials Science working on organic light-emitting diodes. He has been Marie Curie post-doctoral fellow in the Bioelectronics Dept. at the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne (France), working on the application of conducting polymer to electrophysiology. Michele is now Ramon y Cajal fellow at ICMol, where he develops innovative perovskite optoelectronic devices.
